In order to mirror the complexity and granularity of the physical world, a data model has to manage data that describes, relates, and is captured. EON handles all three natively, on the same record — attributes, relationships, and lifecycle events all attached to a single identity — so a brand isn't stitching together separate tools to get one answer. It's querying one record that already has it. This solves the reconstruction problem directly: the work of pulling scattered data together disappears, because the answer already exists on the record instead of needing to be rebuilt every time someone asks.

Many ways to reach one identity.
A product's identity — or the identity of any component connected to it — can carry multiple enterprise, partner and standards-based identifiers at once, so every system keeps using what it already understands. Multiple physical data carriers can connect to that same identity too — QR codes, NFC tags, RFID chips, woven or printed labels. Neither an identifier nor a carrier needs to become the identity itself: identifiers tell systems what they're referring to, carriers connect the physical product to that reference, and all of them resolve back to the same persistent identity underneath.

Agents are only as reliable as the data they act on
An agent cannot reliably establish provenance if the same physical product has a different identity in every system it touches. It shouldn't have to infer that five similar records describe the same product, or reconstruct relationships buried across PDFs and system-specific schemas before it can answer a question.
